Discover 7-Time Figure Olympia Champion Cydney Gillon’s Ice Cream Recipe

Reaching the pinnacle of bodybuilding is hoisting an Olympia trophy overhead. As the biggest contest in the sport each year, those who have scaled the heights — and the judges’ scorecards — to claim Olympia gold are remembered by bodybuilding fans forever.

Cydney Gillon has done that in the Figure division seven consecutive times. Given her dominance, she’s on course to potentially become the most decorated bodybuilder of all time and has done so by eating ice cream every day.

Say what? Yeah. Ice cream. Yes, not exactly the extra creamy super fudge chunk sundae deluxe kind of ice cream, but a variation of the crave-able dessert nonetheless. In December 2023, Gillon shared her TikTok post on her YouTube channel, wherein she shared her homemade ice cream recipe. Check it out below:

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to make ice cream like the seven-time Figure Olympia champ:

  1. Pour 200 milligrams of water into the blender of an at-home ice cream maker.
    • Gillon’s equipment was a Ninja CREAMi Ice Cream maker.
  2. Add rolled oats.
  3. Add collagen.
  4. Add one scoop of protein powder.
  5. Shake.
  6. Place in freezer overnight — Gillon recommends at least 10-24 hours.
  7. Take the blender from the freezer, place it in the Ninja CREAMi, and select “lite ice cream” mode.
  8. Take it out when done, and add two tablespoons of water.
  9. Place in the Ninja CREAMi, and select “sorbet.”
  10. Take it out, and mix in almond butter.
  11. Enjoy!

Gillon did not specify how much collagen, rolled oats, or almond butter to add in, as that is likely to vary depending on one’s macro targets. However, she mentioned that changing the flavor of the protein powder and the texture of the oats (e.g., steel cut or another variation instead of rolled oats) will likely alter the texture of the ice cream when it’s ready to eat.

Gillon is not expected to compete in any bodybuilding contest before the 2024 Olympia, scheduled for Oct. 11-12, 2024, in Las Vegas, NV. The 2024 IFBB Pro League schedule is currently available; only pro show winners, former Olympia champions, and 2023 Olympia podium finishers will qualify for the 2024 Olympia.
