The debut of strongwoman competition at the Rogue Invitational occurred in 2024 in Aberdeen, Scotland. To capstone the contest, it featured the largest prize purse ever in the sport’s history, with the winner receiving $121,938.92.
That winner was Inez Carrasquillo of Puerto Rico, who came into the competition in the best shape of her career. She won three of the six contested events, scoring 53 of a possible 60 points.

Inez Carrasquillo’s Performance
Carrasquillo commented that the only event she felt she would not do well in was the opening max deadlift contest. While Lucy Underdown made easy work of each barbell to claim first-place points, Carrasquillo settled for fourth.
That was the last time Carrasquillo would find herself outside the top three in any event. She claimed her first event win in the Carry & Press and followed that with a second straight win in the Inver Stones to close out day one atop the overall leaderboard.
On the second day of competition, Carrasquillo secured third place in event four behind Olga Liashchuck, who made herself known as the lone threat remaining to Carrasquillo’s future throne.
The Yoke Escalator was the penultimate event. It was a highlight reel for Sam Belliveau and Melissa Peacock, who ranked first and second, respectively. Right behind them was Carrasquillo in third, who only needed to defend in the final event to win the debut Rogue Strongwoman Invitational.
The final event was an overhead medley that challenged athletes to lift a heavy kettlebell—an uncommon implement in the sport. While the kettlebell prevented many of the athletes from completing the course, Carrasquillo was not one of them. Carrasquillo was one of only three strongwomen to complete the course, securing the overall win.
