On Oct. 25, 2023, Hause published a video to his YouTube channel wherein he showcased how strong his squat and deadlift have gotten since setting the scoring the all-time raw (w/wraps) world record total in 1,117.5 kilograms (2,464.7 pounds) at the 2022 WRPF American Pro on July 29, 2022. During his training, Hause squatted 30 pounds more than Shane Haller’s current raw world record of 420 kilograms (925.9 pounds). Andrew Hause’s Unofficial Powerlifting Records

Using a Duffalo bar and plenty of spotters, Hause slowly worked his way to squatting an unofficial raw world record weight of 433.1 kilograms (955 pounds). Hause weighed in at 310 pounds (140 kilograms) at the time of lift. Not only does that mean the squat was over three times his body weight, but had it been performed in sanctioned competition, it would constitute an official raw world record. Hause achieved sufficient depth before performing the concentric with minimal momentum. Judging from the speed and consistency of the lift, it appears Hause may have had even more in the tank.

Hause’s Training

Following his squat training, Hause shifted to deadlifts. He performed quadruples until reaching 755 pounds (342 kilograms). He applied chalk to his legs and locked out on every rep using a mixed grip. Hause switched back to squat training for lighter pause sets, pausing midway through the concentric. Hause used the yoke bar to move 605 pounds (275 kilograms) for four sets.

To finish his training, Hause performed accessory work that included suitcase holdspull-ups, and hamstring curls. Following his recent recovery from lower back pain, Hause has increased his training volume for The Shack Compound Showdown. He’s proud of his progress and is scheduled for one more heavy training session before the meet in North Carolina.
