Men’s Physique Athletes to Watch
Here are the three athletes who will most likely be vying for the top in first callouts:
Edvan Palmeira
The 2023 Sasquatch Pro winner is looking for his second consecutive victory. Edvan Palmeira has a different job than the other men in this show. He’s trying to keep a rival out of the Olympia because only show winners earn qualifications to Orlando. If Palmeira wins, no qualification will be issued.
Alex Toplyn
This is Alex Toply’s fifth show of the season. He has placed as high as second twice, and one of those runner-up finishes was to Palmeira at the Sasquatch Pro. Toplyn was 14th at the 2022 Men’s Physique Olympia, which was his only appearance in that show so far in his three-year career.
Joshua Guidry
Joshua Guidry is hoping his third show of 2023 will be the charm that gets him on the Olympia stage. He was third in the Sasquatch Pro and fourth in the 2023 Texas Pro. Like Toplyn, Guidry is also a three-year pro, but he’s still looking for his first win.
Bikini Athletes to Watch
Here, you’ll find the top contenders to watch out for in Mexico City this weekend:
Jessica Machado
The Bikini division includes 12 contestants, including Jessica Machado, who hasn’t competed since her third-place finish at the 2023 GRL PWR contest. That was the highest finish of her career thus far, but she hopes to change that in this show. If she wins, she will qualify for the Bikini Olympia for the first time.

Marioly Galarza
Marioly Galarza will be entering her fifth contest of the season. She has placed as high as fourth and as low as 12th. The 12th place result came at the Sasquatch Pro, which was one week before this contest.
Roxana Marquez
Roxana Marquez is one of the few competitors in this lineup with Olympia experience. She placed outside of the top 15 in the 2022 Olympia. She has until Oct. 9. 2023 to qualify for the 2023 Olympia, and winning this show could give her over seven weeks to focus on the big show in Florida.
