Men’s Open Athletes to Watch

Below are three athletes in the Open who are likely to contend for podium positions:

Nathan De Asha

Nathan De Asha has been quite active in the second half of the 2023 season. He scored his 10th career pro win at the 2023 Flex Weekend Pro and finished second to Regan Grimes in the 2023 Europa Pro one week later.

De Asha already qualified for the 2023 Mr. Olympia contest, so a win in this show would block another athlete from qualifying. If De Asha competes at the 2023 Olympia, it will be his first appearance on that stage since 2018.

Roman Fritz

The 2023 Bigman Weekend Pro winner is playing defense at this show, as his 2023 Mr. Olympia slot is already secured. Fritz’s last pro show appearance was also at the 2023 Europa Pro, where he ranked fifth. The 2023 Olympia will be Fritz’s Olympia debut if he competes.

Theo Leguerrier

Theo Leguerrier is the lone representative of the host country in the Men’s Open file. He hopes the home-field advantage serves him well as it is his third contest of the season. He competed at the 2022 Mr. Olympia contest and ranked outside the top 15.

Bikini Athletes to Watch

Three Bikini athletes to pay close attention to as champion contenders are below:

Kristina Brunauer

This is Brunauer’s eighth pro show of the 2023 season. She finished in the top five of her previous six pro shows; her best finish was second at the 2023 Fitness Authority Poland Pro. Brunauer only has until Oct. 9, 2023, to qualify for the 2023 Olympia. If she doesn’t win here, there will only be one opportunity left to snag the ticket to Orlando.

Noemi Cosentino

Noemi Cosentino has been on four pro stages this year. She finished in the top five twice and has been 15th or worse twice. Her highest finish this season was fifth place at the 2023 Flex Weekend Pro. The third-year pro seeks her first Olympia qualification.

Sarah Neuheisel

Sarah Neuheisel may be the dark horse in this contest. She has competed six times this season, including the 2023 Sheru Classic UK show, where she placed ninth. Her highest finish so far is seventh at the Mr. Big Evolution Pro.
