Athletes to Watch
Below are three likely favorites to reach first callouts and contend for the top of the podium:
Denis Romanov
Denis Romanov represents Russia. He’s been in two contests so far in the 2023 season: third overall in the 2023 AGP South Korea Pro and fifth in the 2023 Sheru Classic India Pro. Romanov qualified for the 2022 Classic Physique Olympia thanks to his win in that year’s edition of this contest, but he didn’t compete in the Olympia. Romanov has been a pro since 2020 but has never graced the Olympia stage.
In Seong You
The 2021 Monsterzym Pro winner In Seong You made his Olympia that same year, but placed outside of the top 15 in that contest. He has only competed once in 2023, a sixth-place rank in the AGP South Korea Pro. He hopes to join Jae Hun Park as the second Korean to qualify for the Classic Physique Olympia.
Ji Heon Moon
Ji Heon Moon will make his IFBB Pro League debut at this show. He earned his pro status at the 2022 NPC Worldwide Seoul Classic. He is the 2022 Amateur Olympia Korea champion so there is much momentum in his sails and could go from rookie to Olympia competitor if he wins this contest.
