2023 Classic Physique Physique Olympia Prejudging Results

Chris Bumstead’s drive for five is underway. The 2023 Classic Physique Olympia prejudging round took place in the Olympia expo in Orlando, FL on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023. 35 men were on the official roster for this contest, and it sounded like all of them had their own fanbases in the crowd, but none were as loud as the defending champion’s supporters.

Bumstead looked to retain his position as the top man in his field while Ramon Rocha Queiroz, Urs Kalecinski, and everyone else in the field hoped to dethrone him. After numerical comparisons and individual introductions were made, head judge Steve Weinberger would callout the athletes for comparisons in the opening round.

Bumstead was flanked by Kalecinski and Queiroz in the opening callout. The champion never left the center position, indicating he is the favorite of the group.

Six callouts later, Bumstead and Queiroz were on center stage alone for the final callouts, and the fans erupted with each pose they hit. They are the leading contenders for the 2023 title after round one.

The confirmation round of this show will be held in the Orange County Convention on Saturday night, and we will see if Bumstead can finish his quest for a fifth championship or if a new king of the division will be crowned. BarBend will provide updates on the finals of this and all the remaining shows of the 2023 Olympia Weekend from Orlando.
